Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow! So much has happened this past month my head is spinning. Fall is finally here so we have started our pecan harvest and will have nuts available soon. We are also offering extending hours for the season and will be open Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00 and on Saturday from 10:00-4:00. As always, we are available by appointment so be sure to give us a call and we'll be here at your convenience. Let's get cracking!
Harvest isn't the only thing going on though and it certainly has been very exciting here at Deep Fork Pecans lately. We introduced our new general store with quite a bang at several local craft shows. There was so much enthusiasm about our pecan oils and other pecan products; we even had two future venues contact us to set-up at their functions. Looks like November is going to be busy with the craft circuit as well. Our first show this month will be Friday at the Assembly of God Church here in Beggs. They are combining a Fall craft show with their locally famous monthly Indian Taco lunch/dinner. The event will run from 11:00 - 7:00 on Friday, November 6th.
So what did Rob and I do to round out our October you ask . . . well, we made a 400 mile trip to Columbus, Indiana to buy our latest and greatest piece of equipment. You will soon taste the fruits of that trip in cinnamon and roasted pecans. We will be featuring them in our store, online, and at many area venues. These will make a fantastic fundraiser and we are developing a program just for our new "Kettle Crunch" flavors. These gourmet nuts also make wonderful corporate gifts, seasonal gifts, and are just plain great for snacking.
Finally, last but certainly not least, let me introduce four new artists and craftsmen we are pleased to be teaming up with: Castle Connection, Cherokee Copper, Prairie Wind Designs, and Sweetbriar Farms. Each bring their own unique product and style to our little store and all of their products are available both in house and here online.
The ladies over at Castle Connection bring to you handcrafted pieces using reclaimed wood and other items. Each piece is unique and no two are exactly alike. Carrie and her sister handcraft items in various mediums. Be it sophisticated or country all will add a touch of down home flair to your beautiful home. New products and ideas are developing daily and they take custom orders.
Floral designer Joyce Holloway of Prairie Wind Designs brings over 40 years experience in the floral industry to our group. Her masterpiece floral arrangements have been the talk of Gubernatorial events to Valentine wishes. Large or small, each design is one-of-a-kind with love. She can customize to your home or event too. Contact us for more information on custom arrangements.
When Sweetbriar Farms artist Sadie Moore is not busy raising Throroughbred race horses, she is creating and crafting horse inspired items. Sadie is continuously working with new items and mediums; it's always exciting to see what she will come up with next. Her products are available exclusively at Deep Fork Pecans.
